    Default taking rice to bali

good morning to you all. i have been trying to find the nearest charity in the Legian area so that i can take 10 kilos of rice and some colouring books etc. i would be grateful if anyone could let me have the names of charities i could take these gifts to. I sponsored a child through the Helen Flavel org a while ago, and i am leaving sydney on sunday for a week in Bali, so if someone could help me i would be grateful...thankyou all.

Buy it in Bali !! A hell of alot cheaper and less for you to carry !!! You can get rice at Matahari in Kuta Square or Bintang Supermarket in Legian.

Why do you want to buy it in Sydney??

That i'm not sure on but i'm sure someone else on the forum will be able to help you out ... :D

    colouring books etc
These you can get at the supermarkets in Bali too ... i usually also take those little clip on koalas you can get at the variety stores here in sydney ...

You can also buy bulk sugar and noodles in the supermarkets in Bali which is also a good idea.

I usually take a trip up to Jatiluwih (shouldn't miss that anyway) and buy huge sacks of rice directly from the farmers to give to my friends in Bali.

The Salvation Army Orphanage is located in Denpasar. It is called the Anugerah and the address is JL Cokroaminoto 34 Denpasar 80118.
good on ya .ps everythings cheaper in bali just about.
another idea would be to buy 100 pencils and/or 100 blank schoolbooks , not too expensive either.
