sad expat story?

Hi,
I just wondering if anybody would like to share a sad story of expat that you might know. I mean such a story like, giving up their dream to live in Bali, lost all that they have just because they're too sure they'll be sucess in Bali or just any story to learn from.
I think that will be interesting for people who wants to move to Bali, mostly for them that don't married to an Indonesian and just think of first come to Bali, and see what life would bring.
Or is there actually a sucess story from a brave person like that? That would be also interesting to know...

I don't have a sad tale to share but I can tell you, from my travels and here in Bali, most of the sad tales I hear are from sad people - unable for any number of reasons to get their act together at home or abroad. Other than the odd true hard luck story, failure to achieve any objective is the result of poor planning and/or poor performance. Employee or selfemployed, it's all the same.
