    Default Osteopaths in Bali?

    Hello,
I am a Canadian trained Osteopath considering moving to Bali. Any opinions on how Osteopathic Manual therapy would be accepted in Bali? I am very interested in studying the indigenous forms of healing as well as offer my classical Osteopathic training.

I could be mistaken but I believe only Indonesian health practitioners are allowed to work at their professions in Bali. Finding a way to practice osteopathy in Bali may be your biggest hurdle.

Studying the indigenous forms of healing would probably be a joy. I'm amazed at the lore and knowledge of some of the Balinese healers. Some are just quacks but many have remarkable abilities.

    Hi pollyanna,
I have e-mailed with several non-Balinese trained Naturopaths working in Bali. They did not mention any concerns.

polllyanna...they are not real doctors..osteophatie is an alternative healing methode..if they were doctors, then you are right and they are not allowed to practice medicine in Indonesia.
don't read between the lines..i think the words are clear enough...:)
