I recently received this e-mail which will be of interest to US expats not currently on the Consular's mailing list:
To fellow Americans in Bali:
Let me take an opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Joshua Finch, I am serving presently as the Consular Agent in Bali, Indonesia, replacing Andrew Toth. I started this new assignment on November 3, and while I have had an opportunity to meet some of you, and I am looking forward to meeting and serving all of the members of the American community in Bali.
One of the first major tasks I would like to accomplish is an updating of our American citizen database. To help me with this process, I would like to ask all American citizens in Bali to please reply to this email, and forward it on to their friends and family who may be residing in Bali, but haven’t made it on to our email mailing list. This will speed up the process of having a current mailing list, and will allow me to contact all of you should the need arise.
If you are no longer residing in Bali but wish to remain on our mailing list, or wish to be deleted from the list, please let me know.
Finally, for those members of the American community in Bali who have in the past participated in our warden program or wish to participate in our warden program, I would like to ask you to (re-)register with us. The warden program enables the Consulate General in Surabaya to disseminate pertinent information to and communicate with all American citizens in a timely manner, and is sort of like a “telephone tree” or an “email tree” where wardens will contact designated people should the need arise.
Please feel free to drop by the office at any time to introduce yourself or get to know me. I really look forward to serving all of you.
Yours truly,
Joshua N. Finch
US Consular Agent
