Hoping that someone could have good advice for me on a shop which can make a replacement motorbike (dirt bike) seat cover which has perished. I have the original cover and was hoping that I could just get it copied.
Thanks in advance.

It depends on how fancy your dirtbike is and what quality you want .
There seat (Servis Jok ) repairers everywhere , and their covers vary greatly in quality , and Denpasar is your best starting point, or if you drive up Jl Iman Bonjol you will ride by many roadsid servis jok vendors along the way , and their cost are as low as RP20000 but so will be the quality . If you just want something cheap to replace a torn seat then any of them will do a good job for you very cheaply .
Most use poor quality vinyls ( but it looks like the good stuff, but really it is just cheap and nasty copies ) ..., where the top layer seperates after a short time , and its usually the textured surfaces that usually fail more prematuraly than a plain flat surface .
Good quality vinyls are UV treated , more abrasion resistant , have a much better stretch and rebound quailities , and much superior reinforcing and better quality glue between the layer making them soooo much stronger , waterproof , and long lasting.
Any foam work is all looks before function , and they all use a cheap low density foam that doesnt give any support in the right places once you put you butt in the saddle , and any ride over 15 mins leaves you with numb bum . But it looks the part before you sit on the seat thought ( that is , it puffs up the cheap vinyl to look like a seat shape) . RE; foam - A proper, correctly made seat should offer firmness , for your whole backside , but also take pressure off the 2 bones that protrude when seated , read up on seat makes like corbin etc .
Even going to the toko foam (busa) ended up in fuitless searches when I had seen the high density foam for sale once before (ie; when I didnt need it ) and the staff had no recollection of ever having it ( a common frustration here ).
I once searched high and low in Bali to find a JOK repairer that used a good high density foam and I failed miserably . My solution was I ended up using a custom car seat manufacturer in Jakarta caller Mr Seat , which also had a great selection of top quality vinyls and leathers .........., which now leads me to recommend a search of similar Bali custom carseat cover manufacturers if you want good foam and materials , which is lengths I didnt go to myself before my jakarta trip ...,
But if you just want the el-cheapo jok ..., Jl Iman Bonjol roadside ( or any small gang ) - they're everywhere .

Thanks balidavo, a very informative reply. The bike is just a bit of a farm banger, usually parked in a shed but it would be good to have a half decent job done of it. The foam itself is fine, just the cover rippied.
I'll use your info to investigate further.
Thanks again.
