Hi,
I will be in Bali (Legian) from middle of october to middle of november 09 and am looking for someone who can teach me indonesian language. Does anybody of you know a balinese person who would be willing to meet with me one hour per day ?
Thank you in advance,
best regards from Austria,
Gaby
From your screenname "Mrs" I suspect you are female which means that there are thousands of Balinese who in Legian who will be willing to meet with you everyday
Really though, just start talking to people. Meeting with someone everyday, would require paying them, and if you are going to pay someone, better off just taking a class. Balinese and Indonesians are so friendly though, that just about all of them are willing to help you learn the language as you go. Don't be embarrassed to screw up in front of someone, even a few words of Indonesian is appreciated and no one will think any less of you for not nailing a sentence 100%.
thank you very much for your reply. I know that it is easy to communicate with people in Bali but as I will be staying for 1 month I was thinking of some serious teaching with a native speaker for a start so that I can continue learning the language at home. of course I am prepared to pay for this. I was thinking about a teacher or a student.
can anyone help?
thanks
