Hello all,
Just a practical question. Does Indovision have any competitors that could provide a broader range of programming to the Ubud area? I am esecially talking about programming from America? Anybody know whats out there, or is this just a monopoly? What are my options here?
I have lived in Bali the last four months. I love the lifestyle, life is taking shape as comfortable and enjoyable. I enjoy the cultural and natural opportunities this island affords. I know everything is not perfect, and actually I have keenly observed, from my small village outside of Ubud, all of which is transpiring in Bali ala the 'Is Bali Dying?' post...but the truth is I like it here better than I do in the states. The one major problem, though, is that...god man, I love sports from America and this is few and far between. No baseball until the World Series? Barely and basketball? Who knows how much hockey is they were actually playing? Man, I love everything else here, but this is one really tough thing for me to come to terms with, because reading about it on the internet is just not the same.
Sorry for the practical nature of this post and the lack of platform for deeper socio-spiritual discussion, but this is whats irking me nowadays, everything else I can handle. So anyone that has some clear answers and cares to inform me about this, I would be much appreciative...

OM MANI PADME HUM
Dawn, a good post, and a good subject. I too like my sports, and all the major events are available through Indovision. We've been on Indovision for about three years now, and except for some sun related outages, everything has been just fine.
We have the "full boat" of services, meaning all channels. As for competitors, there are none that can offer the service or variety of channels that is offered by Indovision.
