Hi Guys
I looking at moving into a villa we have just finished in Kreobokan but need some advice.
Having difficulty getting PLN to connect electricity, been waiting for 7700watts since October 2008, but don't seem to be getting anywhere. Any advice ?
Also need to get a phone line and internet connection, what are my best options ?
Thanks
Andrew
Hi Andrewwall,
Well, this is part of what I’ve posted in “In Bali now-cricket for a Jacko”
((I said in my first post I will elaborate on the electricity meter.
The price of the house included the meter. The developer told us that the PLN don’t have any in stock (bull sh** another way to make money) and they can’t give us the electricity for another 6/8 weeks.
If we need to move in now PLN will install a “provisional” one for 500.000rp per month including electricity or we can have the “real” meter today if we pay an extra 2.000.000. Remember the house was supposed to be ready in December 2008 with electricity.
You can guess my answer to all this.
Today they will install a provisional one at 500,000 x months and the developer will pay for it. This is the end of the story regarding the meter)).
After reading it you’ll find that money moves mountain (fair or not fair). I did read an article not long time ago about Bali PLN corruption. I will try to find the link but I can’t remember where.
Also: did you already pay PLN Administration fees and a percentage of the total
amaunt. :?:
For the telephone line you have to ask Telkom. Usually in a new location/place where no telephone lines are yet available they need at least 10 people before bringing the line into the estate or wherever.
