Genset, Generator how much where to buy?

Hi,

After searching for weeks and comparing prices and quality i finally bought my genset.
And the search paid off, i saw the 'rekondisi' ones which where finally more expensive then my new one!!
If you buy a genset like this, be sure the parts are new and not been overhault (rekondisi).
Also buying in Surabaya or Java was more expensive then buying mine in Denpasar.

I bought a silence one and have it painted in the factory to my own green colour.
I don't know, but the gensets come always in horrible colors like yellow or blue.
They assembly the genset in Surabaya and then delivered to your door in just 2 weeks.
I connect the cable and handle to switch between PLN and the genset myself.

Here are the specs:

Engine Lovol (ex-Perkins China) 1004g 45KVA (New engine)
Generator Rexford RF 224D16 50kva (New Generator)
Total watts : 36.000
1 or 3 Phase
1 Year warranty or max.2000 hours the first year.
Price 8.176 Usd around 74.000.000rp
Down payment 50% then 50% before delivery.

After calling and emails the price for the same engine+genset are from 11000usd to finally 8176usd you cannot beat that price, i think....

Also on the quotation of central-diesel:

Perkins Engine + Stamford Generator 45kva = 11500usd
Lovol Engine + Stamford Generator 45kva = 10065usd

The price depends of the stock of the engine and generator so can change from time to time.

I choose for the Lovol+Rexford combination because i use it as a backup when there are problems with the PLN.
In my opinion if you use it daily as general power, choose for the perkins engine, but yeah everything has his price...and for the price difference many repairs can be done!
