The poll is expected to see incumbent Yudhoyono take on.
Megawati looks like if she decided to run only after speaking to her dead father.
I think another main challenge to Yudhoyono could come from his mega-rich deputy Jusuf Kalla, who heads the country's largest party, Golkar, which served as the key political vehicle for Suharto's rule. However faces a factional split within his own party for the Golkar nomination.
Another old face in the race is ex-armed forces chief Wiranto, who trailed third in 2004 despite beating Kalla to the official Golkar nomination. Now he has launched his own party, People's Conscience, with branches in every province and a well-funded advertising campaign.
Megawati started the race, but I believe SBY will win hands down
To my opinion, Yudhoyono remains the favorite in polling, but only because the public is disillusioned with the competition.
Now I believe that SBY will win the election, I’m not really exited about it, BUT do you know his “agenda”. Only a few months away and still don’t know what sort of “promises promises” they will dish out. :?:
I think they all know they will loose against SBY but then if they know they have no chance, then they would use their energy playing a spoiler game against democracy.

SBY for me. He may not have succeeded with his promises but at least he tries. Unfortunately a lot of the old guard drag him down but I see no credible alternative at this stage

Hello all..
Think its already "in the bag" for megawati. I am not that familiar with the indonesian elections, but from what I've heard she supposed to have won the last election?but gave that up because some internal "problems" within the party?
If that's true...then this time she will win and become president again...As for sure in the party there's has been made some deal?
Let me knwo if I am totaly wrong ok...Thanks,

Wiranto = the peoples concience?????????????? I would hope not.
I would bet on Bapak Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono for a win with no panache but no efforts. Latest polls* saw Yudhoyono lead with 43% to Megawati's 19%, with all other candidates at 5% or less.
