Hello all, this is my first post to the forums, have been reading in the background for a while but am looking forward to getting a bit more involved.
But my question - I have heard that over the past weeks/months the local banjar have been leaving poison scattered across the beach front (between Batu Belik and 66) in an attempt to cut down on the number of strays. We've taken to piling our lab into the car and taking him further up the coast but he's really missing his local stretch of beach.
Has anyone got any updates on whether the poisonings are still happening, I've seen quite some dogs back on the beach but would love a little piece of mind.
Thanks for any help, see you around.
Heya,
There is an australian lady who lives in bali known by the name of Lizzie Love. She seems to be a big activist on this topic and is VERY outspoken about it. Search her on facebook and Im sure shed be more than happy to let you know the current status of the baiting. :)
A mate of mine who owns the sand pit at Double6 seems to think it isn't the local Banjar thats scattering the poison. One of his dogs was poisoned a while back but it hasn't deterred him from taking his other 5 dogs down to the beach every night.
