Someone recently asked me if I had a picture of my mother in law’s Warung in Bunutan. I thought I’d post it here so all could easily enjoy it.
Seriously though, it’s interesting to note that warung architecture really hasn’t changed much in four hundred years…just the goods being offered.
You have a very strange sense of humour, Roy. Not sure what to make of your post. :o
That’s OK Mat’s. Most people who feel diagonally parked in “my” universe don’t usually get my humor either.
I will say however, that when I showed this antique print to my mother and father in law, and called it an old Balinese warung, they roared. This print dates from the early 1600’s and supposedly shows a real situation encountered by an ancient traveler to Borneo, but unclear if it’s current Malay Borneo or Kalimantan. Wanna travel back in history with me and find out?
If your sketch is any indication of what lies in the past Roy, I don't think I wanna go there. :!: I think I'll remain diagonally, but firmly parked in this universe, thanks all the same.
