By this I mean, is coverage of MLB available in Indonesia (if that's not a contradiction in terms)?
-I know, a non-starter, but I am curious...
I could only find elliptical references to it via search here, and wondered if anyone (Dr.Bruce maybe?) could enlighten me on the subject.
I feel...unusual
Indovision has ESPN which carries a game usually in the morning and sometimes repeated at other times in the day. I don't think that they have games on everyday as I only look on Saturday and Sunday when I'm off work. Unfortunately the games are usually Yankee games for some reason. I like watching the Yankees so that's generally ok, but I'm really a Cardinal fan and even though they are the world champs you never see them on tv here.
Anyway, yes you can get baseball - and if you live in Jakarta they have softball leagues (I know because I watched a game from my hotel window last December when I was there on business).
aside from the 2 weekly games on ESPN, if you have a fast internet connection (350 kbps or higher) you can see every single game online on MLB TV. i personally have trouble finding a consistent connection at this speed, but i live in Ubud when i am there and there might be better setups elsewhere. i know on Java in Surabaya and Jakarta this is definitely possible.
Thanks, gents!
-Dr. Bruce, you've noticed the ESPN bias--every Yanks or Boston game that can be telecast is...And I'm sorry for your Cardinals (did you hear Scott Spiezio pitched late in a game when Oakland blew out the Cards last week?--just when you thought you'd seen everything :D) for a multitude of reasons.
-dawnofjedi--knew about MLB.TV and its bandwidth requirements from over here; I figure that situation would eventually resolve itself for the better in indo, but not something you could depend upon...
Thank you so much for your considered responses!
