oh yes... i'll do my best..
Stay tuned Dr., the worst is yet to come!
It is very peaceful in North Bali. This was an accident.
The only trouble we have in North Bali, is the South Balinese telling all the tourists that its dangerous uphere. (Dolphin trips? don't do it, its dangerous, riots and all, stay with us, lovely tourist, we take care of you)
nice to hear it's peaceful up north... :) got to keep it real and not read to much into the news i guess. if one follows the balipost news and other it's easy to get paranoid.
Soccer should become more popular here. Then the the boys could live out their "me and you" thing every weekend in stead of waiting for elections.
It looks the same like soccer, the yellow shirts and the red shirts, the bonding and so....
Excellent idea!
you should start a soccer club and get a trainer. seriously 8)
Football, (soccer), volleyball and badminton are all played here quite a lot by the various banjars of Bali. While I sponsor my Banjar Bunutan volleyball team every year, and as they do very well each year, (often wining the Regency trophy), my heart is just not in this.
I see these young men as perfect baseball players…and I dream of sponsoring baseball to Bali, a game which I have no doubt would be immediately seized upon, and brought to new heights.
The “athlete Balinese” is gifted with immense hand to eye coordination and instantaneous reflexes. Moreover, they are able to leap from a standing position to almost their entire body height in an instant. Their eyesight is so keen, I can’t imagine the fastest of pitches being a problem in responding with the hit of a bat. They can run like a Kijang…a blur to the eye. They have a great competitive sense, and within this, a great respect for the sport they are playing, thus competitiveness never digresses to anger or un-sportsman’s-like conduct. The Balinese athlete is indeed deserving of all the respect and admiration I could possibly conjure up.
Well, this is only a dream for me now. We’ll see, God’s willing, what if anything comes from it.
